Scope of Work
The project consisted of replacing the existing skating rink built in the early 1960s in Everett, Massachusetts with a new 35,000 square foot full service skating arena. The new rink was built directly adjacent to the existing pool and bathhouse making the new complex one of Massachusetts’ finest recreation facilities. The new arena services the Everett High School hockey team and other local organizations while at the same time offering the greater community a first class skating rink. The rink is open to the public and offers a full service snack bar, skate rental shop, changing rooms, shower facilities, and arena with seating for hundreds of spectators. In addition, the project also included the construction of a new 20’ x 30’ Tot Pool adding to the complexes’ pool facilities.
Boston Building & Bridge was honored with the Construction Excellence Award for New Construction for this project awarded by the Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM) for the Commonwealth.
